Competition initiated by jumpthegap® is a biennial International Design Contest promoted by Roca since 2004 with the collaboration of BcD Barcelona Design Center and aimed at creative people who think towards the future, whilst designing today.

Djehovan designed PUTAR, a portable wash basin for public areas. Using the basic concept of an hourglass in its water treatment system so that used water is able to be used again after the sterilization process. With only one filling of water, the water in PUTAR can be used continuously.

In addition to implementing a new normal lifestyle and utilization of water treatment, the main thing that wants to be realized in PUTAR is emotional engagement between users and the product, PUTAR involves 3 kinds of senses:

  1. Sense of sight : Simple and attractive form, blending with the surrounding
  2. Sense of hear : When the gallon of water is turned around, a bell will be ringing due to the collision of gallon with the bell
  3. Sense of touch : When users step on the pedal to open the water valve and feel the fresh sensation of water directly

By involving 3 types of senses in PUTAR will make the user experience more varied, fun, and able to tackle issues regarding the limitations of clean water in certain areas.
